What can be removed
The common thread is that the watermark stays in the same place. Captions or stickers that move, change or bounce between corners are much harder for any tool, because each frame needs a different fix.
- Logos and channel marks in a corner.
- Usernames and website addresses added by an app or editor.
- Date and time stamps from older cameras.
- Text burned into a screen recording that stays in one place.
Remove it in four steps
- Open the Video Watermark Remover and choose your video (MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 10 minutes). It isn't uploaded; your phone or computer does the work.
- Wait a moment while it finds the watermark. It's selected automatically and the preview shows the frame without it. If nothing is found, paint over the watermark with the brush or draw a box around it.
- Move the frame slider to a few points in the video and check the preview. Touch up the selection if any part of the watermark shows.
- Press Remove from video and keep the tab open while the video plays through once. Then download the clean MP4; the sound is kept.
Tips for a clean result
- Keep the selection tight around the watermark, with only a small margin.
- See-through watermarks usually disappear without a trace, because the picture underneath can be recovered.
- Solid logos are filled from the surrounding pixels: that's invisible over sky, walls or dark corners, and can leave a soft patch over busy, moving detail.
- Long video? Cut out the part you need first with the Video Trimmer, so processing is quicker.
- Finished video too big to share? Make it smaller afterwards with the Video Compressor.
Only remove watermarks you're allowed to
Removing your own logo or username, or a date stamp from a family video, is fine. A watermark on someone else's video shows who owns it, and removing it to repost the video can break copyright law and the rules of YouTube, Instagram and other platforms.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I remove a logo from a video for free?
- Use the Video Watermark Remover: upload the video, let it find the logo, check the preview and press Remove from video. It's free, adds no watermark of its own and doesn't upload your video.
- Can I remove a watermark from a video on my phone?
- Yes. It works in Chrome or Safari on Android and iPhone, without an app. Keep the screen on until it finishes.
- Will removing the watermark lower the quality?
- Only the watermark area changes. The rest of the video is re-encoded at up to 1080p, which looks the same on a phone; the sound is copied across.
