Exact cut re-encodes the clip so it starts on precisely the frame you chose. Turn it off for an instant cut with no re-encoding and no quality change; it then starts at the nearest key frame, usually a fraction of a second earlier. Turn on Remove sound to mute the clip at the same time.

Upload the video, drag the left handle to where the clip should start and the right handle to where it should end, then press Cut video. The new video contains only that part.

Videos can only start cleanly on a key frame, which appears every few seconds. An exact cut re-encodes the start so it begins on precisely your frame. An instant cut copies the video as it is, so it's immediate and has no quality change, but may start up to a few seconds earlier.

Turn on Remove sound. Leave the handles at the start and end to mute the whole video, or choose a part to cut and mute it at the same time.

Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on phones and computers. It uses your browser's built-in video encoder (WebCodecs), which is usually hardware-accelerated, so it's fast. Chrome and Edge support the most formats.
