Passport Size Photo Maker

Instead of paying a studio for a set of passport photos, make them yourself. Upload a clear photo, zoom and move it so your face is centred, and this tool lays out as many copies as fit on 4 × 6 inch photo paper or an A4 sheet, with thin cut lines.

Choose 35 × 45 mm, the size used for Indian passports and visas and in the UK and Europe, or 51 × 51 mm (2 × 2 inch), used in the USA. The sheet is made at 300 DPI, so it prints sharp at any photo shop or on a home printer.

Most offices want a plain white background. If your photo has a busy background, remove it first with the Background Remover and choose White, then bring the result here.

How to make passport size photos

    Use a recent, well-lit photo facing the camera, ideally on a plain light background.

    Choose 35 × 45 mm or 2 × 2 inch, and 4 × 6 inch photo paper or A4.

    Use Zoom and the position sliders so your face is centred with some space above the head.

    Download the sheet as a PDF or JPG and print it at 100% size, then cut along the lines.

Indian passport and visa photos are usually 35 mm wide and 45 mm high (3.5 × 4.5 cm), in colour on a white background. Choose 35 × 45 mm in this tool.

Eight photos of 35 × 45 mm fit on one 4 × 6 inch print, or six photos of 2 × 2 inch. An A4 sheet holds 36 photos of 35 × 45 mm.

Print the PDF at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page. At a photo shop, ask for a 4 × 6 inch print of the JPG. The sheet is made at 300 DPI, so the photos come out at the exact size.
