About this tool
JFIF to JPG Converter
Convert JFIF to JPG right in your browser. JFIF is a JPEG image stored with JPEG File Interchange Format information, sometimes saved with a .jfif extension that upload forms reject, while JPG is the most widely accepted photo format, with small files but no transparency. A JFIF is already a JPEG-family image, but a website or app may only accept a .jpg filename. This tool decodes the image and writes a new JPG rather than just changing the extension.
Add one picture or a whole batch. Each one is converted at its original size, with a quality slider if you want smaller files, and you can download them one by one or all together as a ZIP. JPG output is re-encoded: use a high quality setting to reduce additional compression loss. Renaming an already valid JFIF to .jpg may be enough for some apps if you need to avoid re-encoding.
Files are converted in your browser, not uploaded. Add up to 50 images per batch. Very large images are scaled down to a maximum side of 16000 pixels to stay within browser canvas limits.
