About this tool
JFIF to PNG Converter
Convert JFIF to PNG right in your browser. JFIF is a JPEG image stored with JPEG File Interchange Format information, sometimes saved with a .jfif extension that upload forms reject, while PNG is a lossless format that keeps transparency, with larger files. Use PNG when an editor or form asks for a lossless image format. It preserves the decoded JFIF pixels without another round of JPEG compression.
Add one picture or a whole batch. Each one is converted at its original size, and you can download them one by one or all together as a ZIP. PNG does not restore detail already lost in the JPEG source and does not remove the background. The PNG may be considerably larger than the JFIF.
Files are converted in your browser, not uploaded. Add up to 50 images per batch. Very large images are scaled down to a maximum side of 16000 pixels to stay within browser canvas limits.
Batch conversion
Convert many images at once and download them together as a ZIP.
Full resolution
Width and height stay exactly the same as the original.
No quality loss
PNG keeps every pixel of the converted image.
Private
Converted on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
